Goal:
Uses magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) to detect changes in brain chemistry associated with mood disorders and substance abuse, with the objective of devising novel methods for early intervention and treatment.
The Magnetic Imaging Resonance Laboratory leads clinical trials to learn about the causes of psychological disorders, and to devise new ways to treat them. Ongoing clinical trials include studies of depression, biomarkers of depression, methamphetamine depression, and bipolar depression.
To learn more about clinical trials and recruitment, visit the Brain Health Research website.
The work of the Magnetic Resonance Imaging Lab has been covered by the scientific and popular press. Click here to see and read the media coverage.
