The Brain Institute's Neural Engineering Faculty collaborate closely with their colleagues in the Department of Bioengineering, the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, the Department of Mechanical Engineering, and the Clinical Neurosciences Center to develop devices to alleviate symptoms of neurological diseases and brain and spinal cord injuries. Interdepartmental Neural Engineering faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and students meet frequently via the Neural Engineering Research Group to share and discuss recent findings.
