The Brain Institute administrative staff develops and sustains collaborations between neuroscientists in Utah, and works under the guidance of the Brain Institute USTAR investigators, an advisory committee, and University of Utah senior leadership.

John A. White, Ph.D. Sets scientific, administrative, and outreach goals, and facilitates interactions with academic and corporate collaborators, policymakers, and community partners. |

Amy J. Davis, Ph.D. Manages Brain Institute daily operations, and works with the executive director and internal investigators on strategic research development to secure a diverse extramural funding base for institute research initiatives. |

Amanda Pompei Provides support to institute directors, acts as a liaison between internal investigators and university administrative offices, coordinates meetings and events, and assists with institute financial management and human resources. |

Julie Kiefer, Ph.D. Oversees multimedia communications among institute scientists and collaborators, and between scientists and the public. Her duties include website management and public relations. |

Margaret Tennant Acts as business and financial manager for both the Brain Institute and the Nano Institute of Utah. She is also human resources coordinator, and oversees post-award grant management. |

Kathy Winkley Carries out pre-award submission of grants and contracts for the Brain Institute and the Nano Institute of Utah. She is also responsible for post-award processing and accounting. |
