Salt Lake City, Utah - The Brain Institute is pleased to welcome a new addition
to the Utah cadre of Alzheimer's researchers. Keoni Kauwe will join the Biology faculty at Brigham Young University as an Assistant Professor in May 2009. Dr. Kauwe is currently a postdoctoral research scholar at Washington University School of Medicine.
Dr. Kauwe's seminar will address the use of A-42 and tau as biomarkers for
Alzheimer's disease, and illustrate the utility of these traits as
endophenotypes for genetic studies.
